As you might have figured out we are a dance family and spring means not only lots of going to see Mad dance (she did great on Saturday!) but seeing the enormous dance offerings here in NYC.  This weekend was packed. With urging from DIY Dancer proprietor Candice Thompson we went and saw Alonzo King‘s LINES. Breathtaking technique and gorgeous dancers but two things struck me and I will savor. In Kings bio he professes to make “thought structures” rather than dances- nice- and in a video he says that people love to watch dancers because they are people committed to Ideas……yes sir you are right.
