Piper Shepard explores connections between textiles and architecture through her hand cut (not laser cut) fabric pieces.  She creates spaces with walls of fabric she has “carved” into lace. Shelter and decoration at once.  See this piece at Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery in the Lost in Lace exhibit through February 19, 2012.
